The United States, the country that “adopted” me and that it has been y home now for more than twenty years. It has given me so many great opportunities and for that I am very grateful.  A country that is a melting pot, showcasing different cultures mainly in urban metropolises and conserving a lot of their unique traditions in more rural areas.  Geographically the US is very large so when it comes to deciding where to travel the options are vast. From mountains to beaches, different climates depending on location at any given time of the year.  Most Americans do not travel abroad to vacation taking advantage of what their country has to offer. The United States of America, commonly referred to as the United States or America, is a constitutional federal republic composed of 50 states, a federal district, five major self-governing territories, and various possessions. Forty-eight of the fifty states and the federal district are contiguous and located in North America between Canada and Mexico. The state of Alaska is in the northwest corner of North America, bordered by Canada to the east and across the Bering Strait from Russia to the west. The state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-Pacific Ocean. The U.S. territories are scattered about the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Its capital is Washington, DC and the official language is English.
