I grew up going to Brazil often and because I wanted to learn Portuguese I used to repeat what Brazilians used to teach me. One of the phrase I was told stayed with me, “Brazil o melhor pais do mundo” (Brazil the best country in the world). Brazilians have great pride of their country, their futbol team (soccer team) and of course their Carnaval! That is an experience I recommend, their carnaval is exceptional, you have to go at least once in your life. Map of Brazil
Officially the Federative Republic of Brazil, is the largest country in both South America and Latin America. It is also the largest country to have Portuguese as an official language and the only one in the Americas. The Atlantic Ocean on the east, the coastline borders all other South American countries except Ecuador and Chile. The famous Amazon River is home to unparalleled diverse flora and fauna. AT times people assume that Rio de Janeiro is the capital but that is incorrect, the capital is Brasilia. Portuguese is the official language.
