Uruguay, my beautiful home country. The land of the “Charrúas” (indigenous people) and it is referred to by Uruguayans as “El Paisito”, an affectionate way to describe what Uruguay is all about. Small in size but with a big heart, great traditions and lots to offer. What leave new visitors astonished wanting to come back is the great meat quality (asado), the gauchos, estancias, mate, tango music, wines and spectacular beaches. Throughout the country you will find the Uruguayan people to be very hospitable, they will offer you mate and will hear a lot about our futbol team (soccer team). Map of Uruguay
